Player responsibilities include reading Platinum Sports SA Rules. Risk of injury/death from flying objects, equipment, or players incidental to the sport of volleyball may occur at this event.  Attend at your own risk (includes players and their spectators) as we have no liability. Please pay close attention to your surroundings and be on alert at all times, especially during active play.

These premises are not monitored to ensure the security of personal property of participants or attendees at our events. You are responsible for the security of your own belongings.  The event organizers nor facility shall have no liability for any theft or damages.

WHEN: View our Tournament Dates for a listing of dates and times. Registration will remain open until the posted deadline OR UNTIL WE FILL UP, whichever is sooner. Once we close registration, you may email us at play@platinumsportssa.com or text us @ 210-722-0770 and we can add your team to the waitlist. We may have more openings become available after closing registration.

FORMAT: 6-on-6 indoor teams. Teams are placed/select divisions based on skill level, CHECK our PLATINUM SPORTS SA RULES for descriptions of Men’s, Women’s, Coed, and Reverse Coed teams and levels. Guaranteed a minimum of 8 sets to play. Teams take turns reffing and being the draw team. Check TOURNAMENT TEAMS the night before the tourney to see what court your team will be playing on.

SCHEDULES are NOT posted ahead of time. A list of teams and their divisions plus the court numbers the teams should report to on the day of the tourney will be posted the night before a tourney day. “Blank” schedules will be located on the score table by your team’s assigned court the day of the tourney, YOU (captain or teammate) will write in your team name on the schedule (you basically get to pick the schedule/match times for your team, first come-first serve). ALWAYS follow the instructions on the schedule for sets/matches to play in your division/court.

COST: Early Bird discount team fee price is $100 PER TEAM to be paid electronically by posted deadline. Regular team fee price (after Early Bird deadline) is $125 to be paid electronically. Deadlines to pay the team fees will be posted on our website at Tournament Teams. We do not accept cash. No cost for registering as a FREE AGENT, you pay only if you are picked up by a team and pay that captain directly. Check our website for ways to pay at MAKE A PAYMENT. Teams who have paid in full and wish to withdraw can request a full refund up until tourney start time. After the tourney starts only credit into the captain’s League Apps account will be given for any team withdrawals.

PLAYERS: Teams are allowed a maximum of EIGHT players on the team roster (club and recreational teams with more than 8 players, contact us directly). Teams ending up short players will be allowed to draw from the other teams within their division. Free agents, players who are looking for a team to play with, and Captains looking for a free agent to play with their team should review our website: FREE AGENTS. Teams must follow our RATED PLAYERS policy and ensure they are within or rules. Blank paper roster sheets will be located on the scoretables and each team is required to fill out a roster sheet within 2 hours after the tourney start time (leave the roster on the scoretable). Captains can also print out the Tourney Waiver/Roster Blank Form (8 Players) ahead of time, fill it out, and leave it on the scoretable.

WHERE: Location of ALL our indoor tourneys is at Mission Concepcion Sports Park (MCSP), 714 E. Theo, San Antonio, TX. We rent the courts from MCSP and they have rules we must all follow such as NO outside food/drinks/chairs.
The facility charges $5 cash per vehicle parked in their lot. There is limited free parking available across the MCSP gated entrance at the nearby community park. We will gladly cover the $5 parking fee to our wiser players aged 60 and over but must contact us prior to each tourney.

WHAT DO I WIN? For most tourneys T-shirts will be awarded to players of teams winning 1st place in their division (division must have at least 3 teams). Medals may be awarded in lieu of t-shirts.
